“Mens sana in corpore sano.”
From Wikipedia – Mens sana in corpore sano is a Latin phrase, usually translated as “a healthy mind in a healthy body”. The phrase is widely used in sporting and educational contexts to express the theory that physical exercise is an important or essential part of mental and psychological well-being.
I’ve always liked this phrase and I should remember to implement it more and more into my life.
Asics, the japanese sports equipment company, is an acronym of a variant: “anima sana in corpore sano” – ‘a healthy soul in a healthy body’. What a great brand name!
