This post is one of my favourites on Farnam Street. It’s reminded me how much I like the work they do and that I should spend more time reading their articles.
I tried to extract those lines which struck a chord with me and then realised that I was basically copying the vast majority. It’s so well written that every sentence is important to the whole and taking anything out would spoil it.
It’s divided in 3 sections which really spell out the key takeaways: an introduction to the topic, ‘Listen, Summarize, Show‘ and ‘Connect Where It Matters‘. I strongly felt that they linked with the reasons behind why I started recent this website (listen, summarize, show) and You Should Meet (connecting).
