Proverb

I heard a version of this old Chinese proverb on the radio the other day:

The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now.

When googling about it I came across this piece (https://www.psychologytoday.com/gb/blog/joy-and-pain/201504/the-best-time-plant-tree-was-20-years-ago-no-matter) and it really spoke to me because I’ve been having those same feelings lately, as it says in the first line “It’s easy to believe that life has passed you by.“. It also reminded me of a photo I saw on Instagram I think along the same lines. Notice the constant and most important point to ensure you achieve anything is to ‘start‘, don’t put it off, whatever it may be. Just like the Nike slogan ‘Just do it‘.

*I had already finished this post when I came across the following quote I had saved which I think is in line with what I’ve written here.

“It is not too late to do the things you wish you had done by now.”
